Born and raised on the outskirts of the Okefenokee Swamp, Sidney grew up running barefoot and carefree, despite fire ants, poisonous snakes and spiders, and alligators. Law enforcement intrigues her and remains an integral thread in the stories she loves to write. After receiving her M.A. in Criminal Justice, she worked in a county jail and for the Department of State at the U.S. Embassy in Paris. Although married to a wonderful Frenchman, and residing happily in France, she can be found swapping escargot for grits whenever possible.
